1918 meets 2018 in a special video for Drayton – your village needs you!
Drayton Remembers would like as many people who live or have connections with the village to help us make a video to tell the stories of the men whose names are on our War Memorial – and three men with close links to the village whose names were not recorded.
Jacqui has researched the stories which include newspaper report and obituaries, letters to and from the front and descriptions from war diaries. We would like you to read these and on the weekend of September 29 and 30, Bill and Jane will have a ‘green screen’ studio set up at Half Thatch, including an autocue with the short extracts on it. It sounds daunting but it is a lot of fun and much easier that you might think.
The video will be shown at the village hall as part of the Drayton Remembers event on 11 November and it will then be on YouTube and form part of a Drayton Remembers website with an archive of the research – this is your chace to be part of posterity!
Plese email Jane Markham email@example.com if you would like to be part of this exciting project, or click on the’contact us’ link on this website.
