The Drayton Crown

After 2 years of rebuilding and refurbishment our local pub is ready to be re-opened, this Friday, 9th June at 5pm!

The pub has had its name returned to ‘The Drayton Crown’ which was what it was originally called before it spent some years being named ‘The Drayton Arms’.

The pub is open 7 days a week and you can contact them on 01458 250712

The pub was bought by Drayton residents Kelvin and Anne Cave just over 2 years ago and has gone through a massive refurbishment process in the meantime.

The original bar has been moved back to create more space and light with a much bigger serving area and a much larger floor space.

The old skittle alley which was practically falling down has been re-built to include 4 B&B rooms upstairs, a modern kitchen downstairs, brand new toilet facilities as well as a downstairs skittle alley/function room.

The whole outside area has been vastly improved with lots of seating, a large deck, increased parking capacity and a very large lawn area.

The pub now looks really smart inside and out and will be a great addition to the village and the local community. The Drayton Crown will be run by Donna and Gary Stuckey and we wish them the very best of luck with everything and look forward to the opening this coming Friday.

Since I’ve been back it’s been wonderful to see so many friendly faces returning to The Drayton Crown. Now that the spring has finally arrived, it’s such a shame that you cannot, sit out in the beer garden enjoying something refreshing. But, we know that one day we will, and when that day comes we look forward to welcoming old friends and new to your local for a celebratory drink. In the meantime, Kelvin and Anne join me in wishing you and your loved ones all the very best – keep safe keep healthy.
