Village pub to be re-opened – 9th June!
After 2 years of rebuilding and refurbishment our local pub is ready to be re-opened, this Friday, 9th June at 5pm!
The pub has had its name returned to ‘The Drayton Crown’ which was what it was originally called before it spent some years being named ‘The Drayton Arms’.
The pub was bought by Drayton residents Kelvin and Anne Cave just over 2 years ago and has gone through a massive refurbishment process in the meantime.
The original bar has been moved back to create more space and light with a much bigger serving area and a much larger floor space.
The old skittle alley which was practically falling down has been re-built to include 4 B&B rooms upstairs, a modern kitchen downstairs, brand new toilet facilities as well as a downstairs skittle alley/function room.
The whole outside area has been vastly improved with lots of seating, a large deck, increased parking capacity and a very large lawn area.
The pub now looks really smart inside and out and will be a great addition to the village and the local community. The Drayton Crown will be run by Donna and Gary Stuckey and we wish them the very best of luck with everything and look forward to the opening this coming Friday.
